  Some people believe that people who read books can develop more imagination and language skills than those who prefer to watch TV. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement.

  It is of great significance for we human beings to do some leisure activities in order to release pressure coming from either study or work,such as reading books and watching TV.For some people,they prefer to read books because they think it's a good way develop their ability of imagination and language skills,while others give their support to watching TV programs.As for me,I agree with the former argument that reading books improve people's imaginative and lingual skills.

  People who spend their spare time in reading books are more likely to be immersed in a peaceful environment to do some thinking or reflections.When people read books, they usually put themselves into the plots of articles and follow the directions of the author.This means they always produce a live scene of the story in their minds according to the words they read,which contributes to the improvement of their comprehensive ability as well as the imaginative skills.

  However, those who prefer to watch TV in stead of reading books when they are free tend to rely too much on the audio and visual information coming from actors’performance,and therefore, are less likely to have a deep thought about a certain thing.For example,there are too much noise and too many images in a TV program,making it difficult for people to be concentrated.In addition, because of actors’performance,it's hard for people to imagine about a different scene of the plot. As a result,people's imagination and language skills will be limited.

  To conclude,I'm for reading books rather than watching TV as it can provide people with more quite time to really be into the words and think about something,and lead to the improvement of their imaginative and language skills.
